Big Switch Network's mission is to address enterprises need for network consistency, automation, and visibility for application hosting in hybrid use cases. This drives the need for both defining/configuring and managing the network across all locations with similar fabrics, API's, and operation tools. As the application community is clearly driving many of these hybrid environments, with cloud providers as the lead location in the early stages of development, Big Switch is helping customers replicate the networking features in these clouds on and of premise. This includes VPC like designs, visibility by customer assign ID's (tags) within VPCs, Multi-Cloud Director that offers centralized management across multiple sites, and fabric simplicity (BCF) that is easily deployed by physically (underlays) and within the public clouds (as a virtual controller).
